Party Tent Marquee Hire FAQ
Hiring one of our marquees for a wedding, christening or garden party offer you a blank canvas venue in which you can decorate or theme in any way you wish. We offer everything from a plain tent to flooring, lighting, décor and even power. So each marquee really is bespoke to you and your event.
Q. Why choose to hire a marquee?
A marquee or party tent offers bespoke venue for your wedding or event. You can choose, design and dress the venue to your specific tastes and needs making it perfect for weddings, christenings or other occasions.
Q. Can our marquees be used all year round?
Yes, our marquees are available all year round, we offer lighting and many heating options should you be holding a winter wedding. So don’t let the cold weather worry you or put you off hiring a party tent in winter.
Q. Where can marquees be erected?
Our marquees can be erected on pretty much any site. However the ideal site would be flat, grassed area with good access. We can set up on hard surfaces with specialised ballast systems and other anchoring methods too. If you’re uncertain of the perfect place you can call us on 01388 417490 to arrange a site visit.
Q. Is it possible to warm marquees in winter?
Yes, we offer many different heating options and amount of options for you to choose. We can always advise you on the best marquee heating to have given the time of year and weather at that time.
Q. How far in advance do I need to book?
It’s always difficult to say. We do tend to having bookings for up to two years in advance, particularly for wedding marquees. However we do stock a lot of equipment and will always try to accommodate even last minute bookings. In an ideal world we have at least four weeks notice in case site visits are required.
Q. Will we need an electricity supply?
Yes if you want to use lights or heating you will need a source of electricity. If you aren’t within 20 metres of an electrical source we can provide generators or you can supply your own generator.
Q. when will the marquee be delivered and collected?
This is something we will arrange on booking or organise on a site visit. Generally our team will come to erect a day or two before the required date if possible. However under certain circumstances we can arrange to deliver and set up on the day if needed, again all this would need to be explained on booking.
Q. Do I need my own lighting?
No, we supply a large range of lighting options with all of our marquees as an upgrade. You can choose what is most suited to your theme or event or even supply your own if you wish.
Q. What about decorating the marquee?
Generally depending on the occasion the décor or base of the marquee changes. For weddings our most popular set up would include wood flooring, ivory lining, lights, heating and tables and chairs. After that there is the option of carpet too which can be supplied in many colours. After that you are more than welcome to add your own décor as required. We also work with some wedding venue dressing companies and are happy to pass on their details for the finer points.
Q. How much is a marquee going to cost?
Marquees vary so much in cost we can work to pretty much any sensible budget. You can add or remove décor etc to keep costs down. The cost really does depend on what you want. Again all this can be discussed on booking and we will ensure you have a full written quote without any hidden costs before confirming your bookings.
Q. How do I know what size to order?
On each of our marquees on the website we have a guide of roughly how many people will fit in each marquee sitting and standing for you to have a rough idea. There is also a detailed layout ideas to see how we recommend you lay the marquee to best benefit from the chosen size.
Q. Do the marquees have windows?
Yes, all of our marquees have windows down each side. These windows also have covers that can be left down if privacy is preferred. Or they can be rolled up and fastened up to benefit fro natural light coming through the windows.
Q. What should I expect in a basic marquee package?
Our standard marquees come with the marquee of chosen size plain. It does include suitable anchorage however flooring, linings, lights and heating is all upgrades.
